Sailing & Propulsion:   Carpe Diem I is ketch rigged on aluminum masts.  
A wardrobe of five sails allows the vessels to cruise at 
speeds up to 11 knots, including:
* Mainsail:  Full-Baten system on roller bearings by Haarken.  
   Mail sheet roller-cars (2) on bearings.
* Yankee:   Self-furling
* Stay:  Heavy weight stay sail on aluminium boom doubles as 
   heavy-weather sail

* Asymetrical Gennaker w/Chute
